Four Iranian publishers participate at Tunis Book Fair

IBNA- Four Iranian publishers are participating at the 34th Tunis International Book Fair which kicked off with the slogan “Read to Live Twice” on April 6.
According to IBNA correspondent, quoting from the public relations office of Iran’s Cultural Fairs Institute (ICFI),  representing our country, ICFI participates in this event at a stand with an area of 45 square meters which displays 400 titles of books in various fields of Iran studies, literature, children and young adults books.

Other Iranian organizations which have attended the book event are: the Research Center of Islamic Sciences and Culture, Ahl-al Bait World Assembly, the Book Garden, and Taghrib al-Mazaheb Assembly.

A number of programs are held at Iranian stand in collaboration with the cultural attaché of our country in Tunis including a calligraphy workshop and the performance of Iranian traditional music.

ICFI also intends to offer a scholarship plan for the writers, translators and publishers of Persian books as well as the “Grant Plan” aimed to the translation of Persian books into Arabic and French at this event.
As one of the largest and oldest book fairs in North Africa, the 34th Tunis International Book Fair has been attended by 775 publishers from over 30 countries.

The event will run until April 15.
