Short story more helpful to foreign Persian language students

IBNA- Celebrated Iranian writer of children and young adults fiction Houshang Moradi ‎Kermani said that reading short stories is more helpful to the foreign students of Persian ‎language.‎

According to IBNA correspondent quoting from the public relations office of Sa’adi Foundation, Moradi Kermani referred to this point at a meeting with foreign instructors of Persian language who have attended a course in the foundation.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the bilingual Persian-French book, ‘In the Color of Life’ was unveiled. The book features the short story, ‘Jungle’ by Moradi Kermani among the other works.
“Based on my experience, the Persian short story is more helpful to the foreign students who learn Persian. The literary genre of short story has found its status throughout the world,” Moradi Kermani said.
On the book, ‘In the Color of Life’ which features a collection of contemporary short stories by the Iranian writers, he stated: “This work is like a bouquet which has gathered the flowers of weeds various colors and scents.”

Elsewhere in his remarks, the writer said: “Those short stories which represent the culture of Iranian people are more original and more attractive to other Iranian stories which simply conform to literary styles.”
