Foreign publishers sign agreements on printing 25 Iranian books

IBNA- The representative of the Iranian publishing industry at the 37th Istanbul International Book Fair announced that agreements have been signed for printing 25 titles of Iranian books with foreign publishers.

correspondent quoting from the public relations office of Iran’s Cultural Fairs Institute which represents the publishing industry of our country in the 37th Istanbul International Book Fair
which is underway, Iran’s stand in this event measures 12 square meters. 270 books in a variety of subjects such as fiction, Iranian studies, art, the Sacred Defense as well as works for children and young adults are put on public display in the stand.
Agreements have been signed with Damla, Zangin and Nar publishing houses from Turkey and Atopia from Serbia. The agreed titles are from Iranian publishers such as Cheshmeh, Shahrestan Adab, Zanbour, Ghadiani, Soureh Mehr, Ofoq, Mehrab Ghalam and Nardeban.
Other countries such as Uzbekistan, Mexico, Italy, Azerbaijan, Ireland have expressed interest in publishing Iranian titles. Preliminary negotiations are in progress in this regard.
On the second day of the book fair, Ms. Aygün Director of International Fairs of the Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry attended the Iranian stand and held the discussions with Iranian representatives on participation in the Tehran International Book Fair (TIBF).
Istanbul International Book Fair will be running by November 18, The International Hall will be open for the first 4 days of the fair (November 10-13 2018).
It is a fair with the most access to readers in Europe. Hundreds of events and book signings make the fair one of the foremost cultural activities in Istanbul. The fair is held in association with the Turkish Publishers Association.
