Ancient versions of ‘Shahnameh’ to be unveiled ‎

IBNA- With several scholars and researchers from 15 countries, ancient versions of ‎‎‘Shahnameh’ (Persian Book of Kings) will be unveiled at Astan-e Quds Razavi in the city ‎of Mashhad on Tuesday. ‎
 
According to IBNA correspondent quoting from the public and international relations department, libraries organization, museum and documents center of Astan-e Quds Razavi, the unveiling ceremony is the 8th program from the series of “Cultural Tuesdays” held by the entity in which an exquisite manuscript collection of ‘Shahnameh’ by Ferdowsi will be put on display.
 
‘Shahnameh’ is the world's longest epic poem created by a single poet, and the national epic of Greater Iran. Ferdowsi is celebrated as the most influential figure in Persian literature and one of the greatest in the history of literature.
 
Among the main features of this program is a lecture to be delivered by Iranian Ferdowsi scholar Mohammad-Ja’far Yahaghi (PhD) who will consider the exquisite versions. Moreover, Seyyed Reza Hosseini, an expert of manuscripts at the Central Library of Astan-e Quds Razavi will introduce the manuscripts of ‘Shahnameh’ in the library.
 
The program is a scheduled to be held at Quran Museum of Astan-e Quds Razavi.
