IBNA– The ceremony of unveiling the book ‘Everlasting Memorial’ and ‎honoring the great Iranian literary figures was held today at the ‎Documents Organization of the National Library, by the Book House Institute.‎

According to IBNA correspondent, at the beginning of the ceremony, a video clip portraying the literary figures who died in the past two years was screened. During the unveiling of the book ‘Everlasting Memorial: Portraits of a Hundred and Ten Iranian Veteran Literati’, these figures were honoured.
The event was attended by noted writers and scholars such as Houshang Moradi Kermani, Jaleh Amouzgar, Noush-Afarin Ansari, Mir Jalal al-Din Kazzazi, Ahmad Pouri and Hassan Bolkhari.
During the ceremony, the eminent historian and university lecturer, Mansoureh Ettehadieh, said: “This is the story of the history that each generation writes its own history once and poses new questions, interpreting and explaining the subjects, or adds a new story and improves our knowledge. This trend is never ending.”
Elsewhere in her remarks, she expressed her pleasure by saying that after 60 years, it seems like the dream of writing the Iranian history by Iranians have come true and many Iranians, both inside and outside the country, have compiled valuable books about the history and culture of Iran, although we still have a long way to go in the long run to recognize this frontier in a scientific way.
