Three Persian works introduced to Book Office list

IBNA– Iranian works added to the list of honor of the International Book Office for the Young Generation 2018 are specified.
 
According to IBNA correspondent, among the best works of the past years, the books ‘Call me Ziba’ written by Farhad Hassanzadeh and published by Center for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults; ‘The Ocean at the End of the Lane’ (Parian Publications), translated by Farzad Farbod in translation section; and ‘Caution! The Risk of Attack by Mice and Others…’ (Neyestan Publications) were selected for addition to the list of honor of the International Books Office for the Young Generation 2018.
The novel ‘Call me Ziba’ by Farhad Hassanzadeh is the story of a five-year-old girl named Ziba who is living in an orphanage. Her father is hospitalized due to mental disorders, and her mother is also married to another man. Her father calls her in an autumn day and asks for her assistance to get him out of the mental hospital.
The book ‘The Ocean at the End of the Lane’ by Neil Gaiman, translated by Farzad Farbod, is also released by Parian Publications. Like other works by Gaiman, this is a work of fantasy in which the life story of a young boy trapped in a strange situation is narrated.
‘Caution! The risk of attack by Mice and Others… ‘, written by Seyyed Ali Shoja`i and illustrated by Nazanin Abbasi is published by Neyestan Publications. It is an allegorical and highly reflective story for children and adolescents which narrates in a simple language, a spectacular and fascinating story of mice attacking rural people.
The Diploma for these works will be given to the authors at a ceremony at the 36th International Congress of Children and Young Adults Literature in Athens, Greece to the authors.
