International Conference of India’s Persian Foundation underway

IBNA– The 3rd International Conference of the Persian Foundation of India, with a focus on the works of Bidel Dehlavi is underway.
According to IBNA correspondent, the conference is centered on the works of the poets and writers after Aurangzeb to Bahadur Shah Zafar who was the last king of the Indian Timurid dynasty, from the years 1707 to 1857.
This conference was organized in cooperation with the Indian Persian Foundation as well as Dehlavi Institute, titled Persian literature in the last period of the Indian Monguls, with special consideration Bidel Dehlavi.
Articles presented in this conference are in three languages of Urdu, Persian and English. In the opening ceremony on Monday, the ambassadors of Iran and Afghanistan, the chairman of the National Institute for the Development of Urdu, Persian and Arabic languages (NCPUL), Azarmidokht Safavi (former chairman of the Persian Studies Institute in Aligarh University), Tajik writers' associate professor Akbar Abdullah and Abdullahov Ismail were present.
Also, Abdul Khaled Rashid, a former Afghan cultural advisor in India and a university instructor, and Professor Anwar Khairi of Afghanistan attended the conference. Five articles, dedicated specifically to Bidel, and general articles related to Persian literature are presented in the conference too.
It is worth noting that the Persian Foundation of India had previously held the conference “Ferdowsi and Shahnameh” with the participation of Persian-speaking scholars.
