President Rouhani attends 35th Book of the Year Award

IBNA- The closing ceremony of the 35th Iran’s Book of the Year Award and the 25th Book of the Year World Award was held today with President Hassan Rouhani in attendance.
According to IBNA
correspondent, the event opened today at 8 a.m. and Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Sayyed Abbas Salehi, his Cultural Deputy Mohsen Javadi, several Iranian cultural figures and foreign scholars were present in the ceremony as well.
This year 28 authors, 13 translators, and two editors were named as the winners of the 35th Book of the Year Award of the Islamic Republic of Iran for their works and were honored at the event.
The award granted in the various categories including Islamic Studies with the subcategories of: Islamic Economics, Theology, Ethics, Islamic Jurisprudence and Law, Acts and Life of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), Quranic Sciences, Quranic Studies and Interpretation, Translation of Quran, Philosophy and Mysticism, Contemporary Islam, History of Islamic Civilization, Shi’a Studies, Political Sciences in the Islamic World, Women Rights in Islam, the History of Science, Art and Islamic Architecture.
Iranian Studies category included the subcategories of: Ancient Iranian Civilization, Pre-Islamic Iran, Military Sciences, Handicrafts, Art and Iranian Architecture, Persian Language and Literature, Persian Literature and Poetry, Literary Criticism, Iranian Sociology, Manuscripts Studies, Contemporary History of Iran, History and Ideas of the Islamic Revolution Thinkers, and Islamic Sufi Mysticism.
