Pakistan Book Fair underway as Iran participating

IBNA- The 9th Pakistan National Book Fair opened on Friday in Pakistan-China Friendship Center as Iran is participating in this event.
According to IBNA correspondent, at the book fair which was inaugurated by Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain, 130 stalls have been set up. Iran, Turkey and China are actively taking part in the event.
Iran’s Cultural House in Rawalpindi, the Center of Iran and Pakistan for Persian Researches and Iran’s Cultural Attaché to Pakistan will represent Iran in this fair.

On the sidelines of the event, special meetings on the commonalities between Persian and Urdu languages will be held with experts and the instructors of Islamabad universities in attendance.

At an arrangement meeting before the beginning of the fair, the Advisor to Prime Minister on National History and Literary Heritage Irfan Siddiqui stated: “Participation of Iran, Turkey and China in the National Book Fair is a welcoming sign. It will add more charm to the activity and enable the book lovers to access Chinese, Turkish and Iranian books and gain knowledge about these friendly countries”.

The event will wrap up on Monday, April 9.
