"We Belong to God and to Him We Shall Return
The demise of the eminent religious scholar and researcher Hojat ol-Eslam Ahmad Ahmadi caused great sadness.
He was an exceptional academic who sat at the feet of several great Shi’a jurisprudents such as the celebrated interpreter of Holy Quran, the late Ayatollah Mohammad Hossein Tabatabae'i
who under him, he studied for about two decades.
The efforts of Hojat ol-Eslam Ahmadi for the reopening of Iranian universities after the Cultural Revolution was remarkable and he also founded Tarbiat Modares University
in Tehran. Many students both in seminaries and universities studied under him.
The scholar also headed SAMT Publishing which produced hundreds of scientific works for university students and researchers.
Here, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the Iranian nation and the esteemed family of Hojat ol-Eslam Ahmadi. In the holy month of Ramadan, may God bless his soul, who was a scholar at the service of the academic society and the Islamic Revolution."
