Golestan Palace to cooperate with Hamburg Center

IBNA- Tehran’s Golestan Palace and Museum is going to cooperate with the Centre for the Studies of Manuscript Cultures at Hamburg University and St. Andrews University in Scotland.

correspondent, Director of Golestan Palace and Heritage Museum in Tehran Mas'oud Nosrati held a meeting with Professor Michael Friedrich, Director of Centre for the Studies of Manuscript Cultures (CSMC)
at Hamburg University and the Iranian Islamic Art History Scholar Ilse Sturkenboom
(PhD) from the University of St Andrews in Scotland for launching research and educational cooperation, holding cultural fairs, international conferences, as well as publishing cultural and historical works.
“The research center in Hamburg is one of the most significant entities of its kind throughout the world and has carried out several research projects on a variety of subjects from East Asia to West Africa,” he said.
“After completing the legal process and receiving the approval of the head of Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicraft and Tourism Organization we will sign a trilateral agreement to introduce all World Heritage works in Golestan Palace Museum,” Nosrati added.
Director of Golestan Palace and Heritage Museum went on to say: “The full index of manuscripts which is contained in Golestan Palace will be published in a bilingual catalog. Also, the digitalization of this manuscript is on our agenda.”
