We display Chinese identity and culture at TIBF: official

IBNA- Chinese publication official Zhao Haiyun said during a meeting at the 32nd Tehran International Book Fair has provided an opportunity for us to display Chinese identity and Culture.

correspondent, The meeting for exchanging Iranian and Chinese illustrated books of children and young adults was held on Thursday with Deputy Director-General for China SAPPRFT’s Department of Import and Export Administration Zhao Haiyun; Director of Foreign Exhibitions of Iran’s Cultural Fairs Institute Reza No'ei and several Iranian and Chinese officials, writers and illustrators in attendance.
“The 32nd Tehran International Book Fair has given us the opportunity to develop our cooperation with Iran and provide the ground for more cultural interaction between the two countries,” Haiyun said.
“Many Chinese illustrated children books have been translated and published throughout the world which are important for us both from artistic and economy terms we hope that in cooperation with Iran we would be able to create many other works for children and young adults,” he added.
Tehran International Book Fair is the top Iranian book event held annually. The 32nd edition of this event is currently underway with the motto, “Reading Is Ability” and will run by May 4 in the Mosalla of Imam Khomeini in Tehran.
As the guest of honor of the 32nd Tehran International Book Fair, China has brought a delegation of 200 members among them 100 authors, illustrators and publishers representing the active print industry of that country.
