Iran's Book News Agency (IBNA) 25 Jun 2019 - 17:53 -------------------------------------------------- Title : Iranian-French Scholar Amir-Mo’ezzi awarded by French Academy -------------------------------------------------- IBNA- The Académie des Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres in France granted the Pierre-Antoine ‎Bernheim Award to Islamologist Mohammad Ali Amir-Mo’ezzi (PhD) Iranian-French for ‎his book ‘The proof of God’ (La preuve de Dieu). ‎ Text : According to IBNA correspondent, the book with the complete title Proof of God: Shi ite Mysticism through Kulayni s Work (in French: La preuve de Dieu: La mystique shi ite travers l oeuvre de Kulayn) has been released by Cerf Publishing in France. The book is centered on one of the noted Shia hadith collectors Abu Ja far Mohammad ibn Ya qub ibn Ishaq al-Kulayni and his seminal work Kitab al-Kafi (The Sufficient Book). Mohammad Ali Amir-Moezzi (1956) is an Islamologist at the cole Pratique des Hautes tudes. He is one of the leading academics within the study of early Twelver Shi ism. The Acadmie des Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres is a French learned society devoted to the humanities, founded in February 1663 as one of the five academies of the Institut de France. The academy is primarily concerned with the study of the monuments, the documents, the languages, and the cultures of the civilizations of antiquity, the Middle Ages, and the classical period, as well as those of non-European civilizations.
