Their loot is priceless, but Princeton has insured it for twenty-five million dollars.   Bruce Cable owns a popular bookstore in the sleepy resort town of Santa Rosa on Camino Island in Florida. He makes his real money, though, as a prominent dealer in rare books. Very few people know that he occasionally dabbles in the black market of stolen books and manuscripts.   Mercer Mann is a young novelist with a severe case of writer’s block who has recently been laid off from her teaching position. She is approached by an elegant, mysterious woman working for an even more mysterious company. A generous offer of money convinces Mercer to go undercover and infiltrate Bruce Cable’s circle of literary friends, ideally getting close enough to him to learn his secrets. But eventually Mercer learns far too much, and there’s trouble in paradise…   John Grisham is also an attorney, politician, and activist. He is best known for his popular legal thrillers. His books have been translated into 42 languages and published worldwide.       ]]> Literature and Art Fri, 20 Sep 2019 13:34:56 GMT http://www.ibna.ir/en/doc/tolidi/280967/john-grisham-s-camino-island-reaches-iranian-bookstores ‎‘Five Feet Apart’ focuses on teenage love concept http://www.ibna.ir/en/doc/tolidi/281023/five-feet-apart-focuses-on-teenage-love-concept According to IBNA correspondent, the novel which is centered on the emotional relation between two hospitalized young adults Stella and will who suffer from cystic fibrosis has been translated into Persian by Fa’ezeh Da’emi and Javad Karimi, and released by Elmi va Farhangi Publishing. One of the translators of the book Javad Karimi says: “The novel has two narrators, will which I have translated his narration and Stella whose narration was translated by Fa’ezeh Da’emi. Chapters of the book are unfolded alternatively according to one of the narrators and since we wanted to make a distinction between the tone and narration style of each character, we translated them separately."   This synopsis of ‘Five Feet Apart’ reads: “Stella Grant likes to be in control—even though her totally out of control lungs have sent her in and out of the hospital most of her life. At this point, what Stella needs to control most is keeping herself away from anyone or anything that might pass along an infection and jeopardize the possibility of a lung transplant. Six feet apart, no exceptions.   The only thing Will Newman wants to be in control of is getting out of this hospital. He couldn’t care less about his treatments, or a fancy new clinical drug trial. Soon, he’ll turn eighteen and then he’ll be able to unplug all these machines and actually go see the world, not just its hospitals.   Will’s exactly what Stella needs to stay away from. If he so much as breathes on Stella, she could lose her spot on the transplant list. Either one of them could die. The only way to stay alive is to stay apart. But suddenly six feet doesn’t feel like safety. It feels like punishment.”   The novel was adapted into a 2019 film with the same title which was a box office hit, although in artistic terms was not that much successful.     ]]> Literature and Art Sat, 21 Sep 2019 12:08:49 GMT http://www.ibna.ir/en/doc/tolidi/281023/five-feet-apart-focuses-on-teenage-love-concept
