In the unveiling ceremony of an exquisite Quranic manuscript, manager of Ezam Honar Cultural Institute lauded Iranians as the greatest Islamic nation to serve Quranic sciences more than any other nation.
IBNA: In his address at the unveiling ceremony of an exquisite Quranic manuscript, Mohammad Sadegh Kharazi, head of the Ezam Honar Cultural Institute, stated that other nations have served the holy Quran as well but their pursuits have been widely influenced by Iranian works.

He said the many of Iran's cultural luminaries have been taken away and unjust rivalry has been the case by some Arabs against Iranians. "With regards to the fact that some erroneously claim the ownership of the book of Quran, establishment of the institute became mandatory for countering such activities by introducing grand works by Iranian luminaries to the world of Islam. Unfortunately, the number of such centers has been too low in the last 100 years. At first they were shocked to see such a welcome for the revived works," he added.

"Those equipped with the art of printing exquisite works are well informed that in the world of Islam no other country has managed to become a source of facsimile print of the holy Quran like Iran," he added. "Today, the technique has been mingled with Iranian taste and many Quranic copies are printed in various forms."

He went on to name some of the institute's publications: the Nour volume, Yaghout by the greatest calligrapher in the history of Islam Gheblatol Ketab, Neirizi volume by master Neirizi, and Arsanjani Sahife Sadjadyyeh. The institute has printed and published all the works since 2000.

The next speaker of the ceremony was Mohammad Reza Saeid Abadi, secretary of the UNESCO committee in Iran. In his address, he said there are three concepts that the public needs to be aware of about production of cultural stuff. As he said the concepts are mass production of works, their variety, privacy, commerciality and globalization.

He went on to say that the UNESCO was formed with the aim of materializing peace and serenity in the world and providing better lives for the people. It pursues its goals through enrichment of culture, education and knowledge. In its Memory of the World program, UNESCO endeavors to introduce the written heritage kept in various libraries of the world to add to its cultural richness."

He further categorized the kinds of involved institutes in this regard saying that they are either preservers, submitters or introducers of cultural heritage.
