  "Horses Do not Wear Scarves” marketed

"Horses Do not Wear Scarves", a posthumous book of late Gholamreza Barusan, has been released in Iran. The collection was compiled by late Gholamreza Barusan and it was rendered into English by Alireza Abiz.
IBNA: The bilingual, English and Persian, "Horses Do not Wear Scarves" has been released in 700 pages by Shamlou publications in Mashhad.

The book holds pomes of Khorasan region’s contemporary poets which were gathered by late Gholamreza Barusan.

The book’s translator Alireza Abiz said that the work holds an introduction penned by the late poet and it tries to depict the poetry of today’s Khorasan.

He added: “Some of the book’s poems have been converted into English. However I tried to present at least one work by every poet.”

Renowned poet Gholamreza Barusan, his wife and their daughter were killed in a tragic car crash on Quchan-Shirvan road last year.

Barusan accompanied by his pregnant wife Elham Eslami, who was also a poetess, and their six-year-old daughter Leila lost their lives after their car hit a bus while they were heading to Mashhad from the northern part of Iran.

Born in 1973 In Mashhad, Gholamreza Barusan began to compose poetry when he was 18. “Possibility Confuses the Bird”, “A Pack of Cigarettes in Exile” and “An Elegy for a Tree that Collapsed on its Side” are some of his poetry collections.
