  "Iran handicrafts dictionary" released

"Iran handicrafts dictionary" is a comprehensive encyclopedia which introduces Iran's handicrafts and the art's professors and those who received certificate of top works by UNESCO.
IBNA: "Iran handicrafts dictionary" has been rendered into English and it is published by Al-hoda international publication and Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization's cooperation.

The head of Al-hoda international publication, Houshang Ali Madadi says that ancient land of Persia, with a history of 1000 years, creates the most important cradle of civilization.

He added:" Potteries dating back to 8,000 BC, Pazyryk Rug which belongs to Scythians dynasty and thousands of coins are the civilization's evidences."

Houshang Ali Madadi said:" Handicrafts help identifying Iranian national and cultural identity as they are the most low costing and profitable investments which attract financial sources."

He went on to say that as handicrafts competitions have boosted in international levels the publication was encouraged to create a web to update the information so those who are interested in handicrafts could receive the data easily.

The first chapter is an inclusive encyclopedia which introduces Iranian handicrafts; the 2nd chapter introduces the art's professors and those who received certificate of top works by UNESCO.

Moreover the last chapter is on introducing more than 5,000 artists, artisans, exporters and handicrafts presenters.
