Call for precious Iranian works released
The secretariat of the national Memory of the World Committee based at the National Library and Archives Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran has released a call for works to be registered at the UNESCO’s list of precious works. IBNA: According to the public relations office of the National Library and Archives Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran, all libraries, archives, state and private museums and owners of personal collections are called to submit their works to the committee.
Documented heritage includes written and non-written heritage and covers all kinds of information carriers like manuscripts, documents, maps, photos, movies and even digital sources.
UNESCO’s Memory of the World program considers all the works in the world that are significant in various dimensions like the time and place of publication or their creators.
Owners of precious works may submit their works by October 6, 2012 to the secretariat of the committee.
The submitted works will be weight up based on certain criteria and provided that can gain the required scores will be registered in the committee’s list of precious works. The select works are sent to UNESCO every two years for appraisal studies. Id : 144382 |
