  “A universal man from Birjand” to be released for children

The 2nd volume of “A universal man from Birjand”, a new book by late Ganji will be printed for children. Professor Mohammad Hassan Ganji, the father of modern geography in Iran, passed away on July 19.
IBNA: manager of Birjand University’s geography group said: “ “A universal man from Birjand” was Ganji’s most significant book for children. Its first volume was released some two years ago and the 2nd volume is being prepared.”

The book is to be published by Gitashenasi publiscations and Birjand University.

It recounts the biography of late Ganji as well as his travelogues, Javad Mechanici said.

Ganji has published several books, including the Atlas of Iranian Climates as well as over 130 articles in Persian and English.

He died in Tehran due to brain hemorrhage.

In April 2011, Iran paid tribute to veteran scholar Mohammad Hassan Ganji during a ceremony held at Tehran's Sa'adabad Cultural and Historical Complex. The ceremony was organized by Iran's Eternal Figures Committee to celebrate Ganji's 100th birth anniversary.
