Int'l section of Quran Exhibition opens
The Islamic Iran is concerned with expansion of the Quranic culture based on Quranic understanding, belief and practice, said head of the 20th Quran Exhibition in the opening ceremony of the international section of the fair.
IBNA: Hujatoleslam Hamid Mohammadi, head of the 20th International Quran Exhibition, addressed the audience in the opening ceremony of the international section of the fair arranged on July 30. The ceremony was arranged at the fair’s locality at Tehran's Grand Imam Khomeini Prayer Ground in which Mohammad Bagher Khoramshad, head of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Laleh Eftekhari, head of the Quran and Etrat fraction of the Islamic parliament, and Ayatollah Namazi, Friday prayer leader of Kashan.
The Islamic Republic of Iran’s view towards the Holy Quran is not an instrumental and transient one, Mohammadi asserted. “Based on the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the government of the country is founded upon justice and the Holy Quran and the legitimacy of the Islamic Republic is appraised through the level of Quranic understanding of its officials.”
He further marked the Charter of the Expansion of Quranic Culture as the primary strategic document regarding Quranic activities in the Islamic Republic and added, “The Islamic system of Iran is in pursuit of organizing and systematizing Quranic activities in all social, political and executive levels.”
Elsewhere in his address, Mohammadi highlighted the role of Iran in Quranic promotions and propagation programs and said that the country is a forerunner in creation of Quranic as well as Islamic art forms. “The Quran exhibition is in charge of lead Quranic teachings to the hearts of its visitors. In our country, artistic forms like visual arts, music, etc. have been well attuned to Quranic teachings. This is a rare phenomenon in many other countries.”
As he said, the Iran’s goal in its Quranic activities is expanding Quranic culture based on Quranic understanding, belief and practice. “Believing in the Holy Quran is an illuminated hall through which every nation can reach eternal happiness. The Quran Exhibition fosters belief in the Holy Quran. A society based on Quranic principles is our ultimate goal in the fair.”
Mohammadi finalized his statements saying that different sections of the fair like the Islamic awakening, Muslim nations and cultures and the survivors of 6 revolutionary countries are involved with the international section of the fair.
