Introduction of useful, valuable books to the society is the mission of the Culture Ministry, said Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mohammad Husseini, in an address the Tehran's Grand Imam Khomeini Mosalla on July 30, 2012.

IBNA: A ceremony was held on the sidelines of the 20th Tehran International Quran Exhibition to unveil exquisite Quranic works of Ayatollah Mohammad Mohammadi Reishahri and Ayatollah Abdolnabi Namazi.

The ceremony was held in the presence of the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, Mohammad Husseini, Hujatoleslam Hamid Mohammadi, head of the exhibition, and a number of Quranic researchers.

In his address, Husseini stated that every year prominent Quranic works are unveiled during the exhibition. Last year, a Quranic translation by Dr Gholamali Hadad Adel and software program on Quranic exegesis by Hujatoleslam Mohsen Ghera’ati were unveiled, he said.

He asserted that the best way to learn about the Holy Quran goes through its vernacular. “All Quranic exegeses published so far are useful but are not enough as long as the book of Quran is endless in miracles and surprises and there is always something left to be discovered in the book,” he added.

He further posited that works by those who are involved with their society are more useful than those who tend to write books in their reclusive backyards.

Husseini also marked the role of the exhibition in bringing Quranic concerns to people’s lives and added that plans are being developed to arrange similar showcases in other provinces of the country.

Elsewhere in his address, he admired Quranic artists and said, “Artists are gradually entering Quranic areas and endeavor to introduce the book to the society. I keep my fingers crossed for more activities on the side of the artists.”

He expressed hope that other invaluable works will be unveiled in other Quranic exhibitions and their rendition into other languages will be facilitated. “We ought to gather our exquisite works and present them in other languages.”

Learning about Quran through Quran and Hadith by Ayatollah Mohammad Mohammadi Reyshahri and Hoda Exegesis by Ayatollah Abdolnabi Namazi were unveiled in the ceremony.

Learning about Quran through Quran and Hadith is divided into two main sections; in the first section the holy Quran is introduced through its verses and in the second part Hadith and their analyses are presented on introduction of the holy book.
